Meet Mr. B
My name is Brian Balsis and I'm the Physical Education teacher at Wildwood Forest Elementary School in Raleigh, NC. I have been at Wildwood Forest for 15 years! I was a 3rd grade teacher for 9 years, 4th grade teacher for a year, and am currently finishing up my 4th year in the gym. I have been married to my wife Erin for almost 16 years and have two wonderful kids named Riley and Claire. Besides being a full time dad, husband, and teacher, I am also a competitive obstacle course racer. I have been running since I was in 8th grade (track and cross country, 5k's, 10k's, and marathons) and have been competing in obstacle courses races for 5 years now. I love teaching kids (and adults alike) the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and making daily exercise an important parts of their lives. My hopes are that the education I provide and the the way I try to set a good personal example will make my students realize that personal fitness and health are important not just today, but for the entirety of their lives.
